Learn More about This Dialogue
Why is this dialogue taking place?
The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) is looking to capture perspectives about Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) based on individual input from those "on the ground." The results of this online dialogue, along with other research efforts, will be summarized to provide an overview of Section 14(c) at the state and national levels.
Why participate?
USDOL's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) recognizes that in order to thoroughly understand the impacts of Section 14(c) it is important to gather input from all stakeholders. This online dialogue allows anyone to participate from anywhere across the United States. The information gathered during this important online dialogue will provide ODEP an opportunity to better understand the current landscape, as well as the potential future of Section 14(c).
Who should participate?
This online event is open to the general public and to anyone interested in sharing their experience and knowledge about Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act. We strongly encourage individuals with disabilities, their families, providers, disability organizations, employers, researchers, and other stakeholders who have experience with or opinions about Section 14(c) to share their perspectives and ideas for the future.
